Wondergirls @ MTV world stage Malaysia!

I thank my really lovely friend AP for thinking about me immediately and gave me the free passes to MTV world stage. Muaksss...I (less than 3) you. <3 <3 <3

It was at the very last hours when i got the call .. and I just went nuts. I was trying for weeks to win the damn passes. God must have took pity on me ....:D

I was on my way to meet up CP @ Sunway for lunch before I got the call and I had to drive to meet up AP first before going back to Sunway .. and that place was so congested! Sorry CP for having to wait for me ..:(. Thank you for the lovely lunch! I <3 you too!

Then I called another friend ST to meet me up @ Sunway to see WG!!
It was crazy.. we hunt for rain pochos thinking it might be useful if it rains ..and even before we walked out from Sunway Pyramid , it rained!!! DARN IT .. and well, we were both drenched in the rain despite the rain ponchos. BUT it was worth it ..because i got to see WG live!! And the best thing is that their performance was unlike any other performance that the fans have seen before. They did the rock version of 2dt and Nobody ..with guitars. It was great!! Yubin was rocking it! We couldn't stay to watch Tokio Hotel and Katie Perry .. cos the wait in between performance was soooo long and we were sandwiched in between guys who were smoking. yes.. really idiotic babo people...so we left early cos ST was feeling faint.

The good news is that they promised to be back ...for a concert maybe. Would be even greater if they bring 2pm along ...keeping my fingers crossed.

What if..

Time really passes by so quickly .. i did not realise that i have not updated this blog for such a long time. If only I can turn back time..

It's funny how whenever I'm in my darkest moment that I chose to write ..be it in my diary or here. Whenever I had so much in my mind that sleep eludes me. At time like this, I can’t help but feel helpless because there is no way I can fall asleep anymore ; absolutely nothing ‘cept taking sleeping tablets.

So many “what ifs” run through my mind.
What if I approach it differently?
What if I gave it a chance?
What if I just bear with it and not question it so much?
What if …
If only I can stop looking back and kept asking these what ifs.

I hate it that all these questions kept running around in my head.
In my mind I know what I should do, what I HAVE to do … that there is no point in me looking back but my heart never listens to my mind. My mind says go but my heart says stay. Argh..the complexities..

I felt bad ..real bad because once I’m in this condition, no one can help me.. I just need time to heal ..maybe, I think. But this is when I shut everyone out from my life, friends and family. Just felt the need to be alone, to reflect, and to heal. Do I think this is a good idea? No ..of course not …but I prefer it this way.

I'll be ok.

I like ....Where Rainbows End by Cecelia Ahern

I repeatedly read this book a couple of times now. I just love it. My preferences is more towards historical romance, etc Judith Mcnaught or Julia Quinn but this book from Cecelia Ahern really keeps me entertained.
It's about two best friends, Rosie and Alex who known each other since childhood, and stuck thru thick n thin even as Alex moves from Dublin to US. Both miles apart, they never stop corresponding with each other thru emails, letters, texting, online messagine.. that's what I love about this book anyway, the stories is all captured in the form of emails, notes, letters, sms etc. A very different format of writing unlike any books I read before. You gotta get this book to know what I'm saying. Although my mum was a lil bit confused with it so she stops reading it. what a shame.
So anyway, something big happened to Rosie before her move to US. It kept her from going to US and stayed in Ireland. Alex was her rock and somehow, along the way, misunderstandings, circumstances and bad luck kept them apart. It's very frustrating at times as you know they're so close to being together but yet circumstances kept pulling them apart.
It's a very touching story. I had a lump in my throat reading the ending. Go buy the book and you'll know.

Things to bring for Mt KK

Sharing a few tips with whoever who cares to read this...
I separated my stuff to two backpacks. One bigger heavier one I paid the porter to carry up while the other smaller one I carried myself.

1st day - to Laban rata (things to bring in smaller backpack)
1)Just wear normal shirt and shorts/gym pants as you'll get sweaty and hot as you walk up to Laban Rata. Keep a sweater in ur backpack as you might get cold during the last km.
2) Normal sportshoes will do
3) 1 bottle of 500ml 100 plus - we were provided with a tin of 100 plus for lunch, so i just refill it in my bottle
4) KitKat bars - I only ate kitkats that two days during my hike plus the sandwiches provided.
5) Deepheat cream - I rubbed the cream before I start to hike. Helps to warm up.
6) Poncho/raincoat - though we still get wet, but still better than nothing
7) Waistpouch - to store ur camera and some panadol activfast
8) Face towel
9) Walking stick - just rent one from the park, it's useful when descending

Bigger backpack that I gave the porter to carry up (I recommend firsttimers like me to just pay the porters and not carry it up urself) to store things for the 2nd day hike up to the summit...
a) Winterjacket, gloves (waterproof a must!!), thermal wear, thick socks, long stretchable pants/tracksuits, sweater, balaclava, an extra pair of clothes to change after u descend..
b) HAIR DRYER - seriously, i don't see it written anywhere as a must have, but I think it's necessary in case it rains. My hair dryer was highly in demand on the evening we reached Laban Rata.
c)1 bottle of 500ml 100 plus
d) Kitkat bars & light food like raisins & oral dehydration salts
e) Kampung Adidas shoe - you can find it there in KK town , just ask around
f) Raincoat
g) Headlights
h) Towel , toothbrush, mini toothpaste, mini shampoo, minishowergel..etc - if you get ur warm shower, mine was icy cold , a lot of ppl opt not to shower as it was really cold.
i) Toilet tissue papers
j) slippers - 4 you to go toilet
k) Medicines - if you'll experience giddiness n such , refer to ur own doctor about this

So basically, on the second day hike to the summit, you can just wear ur e) kampung adidas shoe and ur a) winter wear and g)headlights as above list...
Bring along in ur smaller backpack :-
d) Kit Kat bars & raisins...
c) 1 bottle of 500ml 100 plus
f) Raincoat
And well , ur camera of course. Take nothing but photographs, leave nothing but footprints.

So hope this list helps whoever wish to read this..Happy Climbing.. I know I did. :D

Best Birthday Gift to Meself! (Reaching the top of Mt KK)

YES! I did it ! I conquered Mt Kinabalu a day before my birthday !

It was my most wonderful birthday celebration ever. The feeling when I reached the summit is pure heaven. I just sat at one of the rocks, trying to catch my breath and to take in all the beautiful view around me. It was still a little dark with strips of red/orange in the sky. One of the tour guide there, Abang Di had to keep reminding me take out my camera for him to snap pictures for me. Thank you Abang Di, you're the best! I still couldn't believe it myself that I made it since walking up the stairs of Batu Caves is enough to make me feel faint. My dear cousin who was laughing at me when I said I'm going to climb Mt KK couldn't believe it either. We bet on a meal...so now i'm getting a free meal. Muahahaha. For those who said I was too woman to do it ..eat your words back!

Basically for me, ascending the mountain is much easier than descending (although my friends like the descending part , i also dunno why :P). I really hate the descending part. We ascended in the dark so we can't see how dangerous some part is until you descended in the early morning light. I got bruises cos I kept slipping descending. It gets boring as you have to keep watching the ground with rocks.
So here are the pictures on my crazy adventure....

Above is a group picture taken before we start our journey on the Timpohon trail. As you can see, everyone looked very excited and energetic...but after several km, nobody looked this fresh anymore. We had to walk about 6km to reach Laban Rata where we stayed over for a night before continuing our journey to the summit the next day.

This is our porter who carried our bigger bags up. Poor woman but she said she's used to it.
They don't seem to carry any food or water with them. I didn't realise this earlier in the journey. After my 4km, I shared my sandwich with her and I regretted I didn't offer to her earlier.
Note: Share your food with your porter/tourguide, you probably are carrying too much food up anyway.

We took pictures for every km we reached. It's always a relief when we see another km signboard.

And of course, we had to camwhore a little along the way. For me the view after the 4th KM is beautiful with all the dwarfed trees. I'm doing a little kungfu meditation so that I can just fly up to the top..

After walking about 5 to 6 hours, I was so happy when I saw this yellow roof building. It mean rests and food finally!! But when the receptionist told me that we had to walk about another 500m up to our hostel, I almost strangled the poor girl. So I had my food, icy cold shower and rest (though i couldn't sleep a wink) and proceeded to wake up about 2.00am to continue our journey to the summit. With only our headlights strapped on our head, we proceeded to walk in the dark. There are parts that I find myself alone with nothing but the light on my head to guide me. Kinda freak me out a little as I kept wondering if i got lost or something.

Wahaha.. I was almost breathless but still insisted to take this darn picture.

When I reached the summit, I just sat for quite some time to catch my breath. I didn't want to move at all but thank god, Abang Di kept asking me to take out my camera.

Note: bring a waterproof glove! I thought mine was, but it wasn't as it was soaked thru on the first rope climb. So when I reached the peak, i quickly take it off but it was so cold that I decided to just put back on my wet gloves.

On top of the world feeling. OK.. now I can strike off Mt KK in my to-do-list! If only they have bungee jump then I can strike both off and save maybe part of the awful journey down maybe.

Look at all the faces... extremely happy!!

So there, finally in the airport, we took out all our coloured certs and banner and had the group pictures. So semangat!
It was serious fun ..but this will be probably my one and only time climbing Mt KK. For a few days after that, I curse everytime I walk down stairs.

Goodbye, My Boy

Sometimes I thought I hear him in the living hall when i'm in my bedroom or bathroom...

..like today.

I went down and only then I realised, he's not here anymore...

Rest in Peace, the most beautiful golden haired boy I've ever seen.

I just missed him lots today although it's been months since his departure.. don't know why.

What have I gotten myself into...

**Gasp GASP Gasppppppp..... OMG... oMg......OH.. oH ..oh.. OHhh...**

No.. it's not the sound of orgasm...

It's just me almost dying out of breath from training for my Mount Kinabalu trip.
What was I doing thinking that I was fit enough to go??? I had no idea at all.
Just one trip up to Batu Caves is enough to make me feel like I'm having cardiac arrest. Look at the picture, it's only like 4 or 5 floors of stairs, when did i ever become so unfit?

Oteokeyo? How to go Mount Kinabalu in another two weeks time liddat? i seriously dunno.

Please god, let me make it to the top.. please let me have my best birthday celebration ever. I don't wish for presents, cakes or $$$, I just want to reach the top of Mount Kinabalu this year ...
(and to go UK and Australia as well).

youtube destroy my life...

I should say, i have no life after youtube appeared.
I can't believe i've spent my these whole 2 weeks now just youtube-ing. My eyes is practically glued to it 24-7. I can do so much more these 2 two weeks after quiting from that miserable-shitty-piece-of-job-that-i-slave-over-for-10months. So much that i can do in these 2 weeks (eg: manicure, shopping, holiday, facebooking(which i never bother), clear my email, etc etc) but i spent all my time just youtube-ing. Sometimes, I just got to take a break cos my butt just couldn't take it anymore, it hurts from sitting too long. My sleeping hours went haywire. I slept in the morning or afternoon, and then in the quiet of the night, I youtube.
So anyone who called me out during these 2 weeks couldn't get me.
I have not been socializing. I've become a sosial pariah but i'm actually loving every minute of it.
I just basically pigged out in front of my comp, eat whenever i feel hungry and sleep whenever my eyes can't take it anymore. WHAT A LIFE...@_@.

So today, I'm taking a holiday from youtube-ing and instead update my long un-updated-but-definitely-not-forgotten-blog. I missed you...i seriously do. Though i still write in my diary, but it's not the same.

Youtube is kind-of like a drug to me..very addictive and since today i'm trying my best not to youtube, i'm not so sure what i should do after this .*GASP*! I think i should start a Youtubelics Anonymous group like those Alcoholics Anonymous. Oteoke-yo!

Life don't sux that much after all ...:D

When you see someone like Hyun Bin, what is there to complain? Seriously? Except maybe to say he'll never be yours no matter how much you fantasize..err.. adore him.

Being a fan of his, I can't believe that I didn't know that his new drama is out! It goes to show how long I haven't been surfing thru the internet and leeching from drama sites. And today, effortlessly, I FOUND THIS!!http://www.mysoju.com/the-world-that-they-live-in/

Muahahaha..so happieee!! To all my chingus, hmm.. no dinner dates for weeks ya! Don't bother texting me! MUAHAHHAHAHA! Hopefully this drama doesn't disappoint me like snow queen did... even with my eye candy in it, I couldn't finish watching it. Hyun bin *slurpsss*

Life-Sux-But-I'm-Trying-My-Best-To-Deal-With-It

Well I'm sure happy moments come once in a while so life doesn't sux that much but I actually don't feel entirely proud of my "happiest moment" so far. I want something more out of life. Or maybe I will never be satisfied when something better and happier comes along. If I wasn't asked a simple yet meaningful question the other day, I wouldn't have known that I have live such a meaningless life. "What is the happiest moment in your life?". Such a simple question but it bothers me.

AND RIGHT NOW AT THIS MOMENT TODAY THIS WEEK THIS MONTH, LIFE SUX REAL BAD.
I have been told that I will get an early confirmation and in line to get a promotion, so how come I feel like crap? Wait, I know!! BECAUSE I don't want to get an early confirmation and I don't want to be in a managerial level in this company. I want to leave EARLY not give a 2 months notice!!!
AND F**K HR for trying to analyze my characters and all the "observations" that she get based on one phone call! A load full of crap. I'm so mad. I was thinking of giving a real sarcastic reply but I realise I don't need to waste my time on such nonsense. The fact that HR did not even ask for my letter of offer back and didn't realise my offer letter went "missing" after 2 months is pure craziness. They only realise it after the auditors question them and only come asking me do I have a copy of it because her copy went missing. PLEASE LAR.. you didn't even had a copy in the first place cos you never ask for it and I never gave it back .Simple as that. And so I don't really believe all those shit stuff that you try to sell to me cos I ain't buying.

Why do I have such bad luck in finding the right job??

On MC today...and a picture.

My office had a so-called halloween party last friday and everyone was required to wear a costume to work.... and I wore a baseball gal costume.. last minute arrangement so I tried to assemble one from my existing wardrobe . Thank god i got a bat. Don't laugh ..here's the horror... ------------>>>
I wanted to wear something scary to work that day .. that's the whole point of halloween right? Something like from Adam's family ..but I don't appreciate the police stopping me on the way to work ... at least I got a costume..better than my colleagues who wore only hairbands..
I promise to show my friends my pic ...hence this crappy entry ... not feeling well so I won't write much ... till then, take care my friends...especially SY ..rest ur hands ya!!

Demotivated

First of all, thank you to those who told me how nice all those pictures that I took in Krabi. I’m kinda proud about my lil small talent there although there’s some people who dice me when I get all fussy about my pictures. You know who you are right? Hehehe. I seriously got nagged about it. ;((

Anyway, I’m feeling totally demotivated right now. It feels like 4 days in paradise and now back in HELL. The dungeon of darkness. Surrounded by evil presence ready to prey upon unsuspecting creature. Wolves camouflaging as human trying to eat up innocent girl.Witches trying to lure people into eating poisoned apples. Shitty shitty place to be in.

I shall sleep it off and hope for a better tomorrow and lots of passion to get through another day.

Sawadeeka Krabi!

I haven't updated in a while because I was busy with work and plus I didn't have much to write about anyway or rather being lazy. :P. Anyway, I just came back from a vacation and no way am i gonna miss bloggin this.

This is the first time ever that I came back from a holiday spotting bruises and cuts but it was so damn fun! My muscles were screaming a little but it was so worth it! And I spotted JACK SPARROW!!!(remember Johnny Depp in Pirates of the Caribbean?) Yes.. pictures in a short while. The only downside to this holiday was I got sooooooooo dark and it's not those tan-golden-like colour. I have slapped on so much sunscreen but to no avail. Sux.

It was a 4 days n 3 nights stay in a beautiful resort hotel ..the view from my hotel porch was beautiful overlooking a small hill?, a lake and the swimming pool with lots of greeneries. It was quiet, calm and you wake up to the sound of birds chirping. Nice. If the location is nearer to Ao Nang beach then it would be PURRFECT!

There was so much things to do in Krabi .. but our time there was short. We wanted to try out so many things but we could only fit in white water rafting, ATV and 4 islands tour and snorkelling. Thank god we didn't take up rock climbing as I don't think my sore muscles could take it anymore.

On our first day, it was just hanging around in Krabi Town. Nothing much there so we had our Thai traditional massage and boy, did it hurt. I never had Thai massages that hurt like this before. The masseuse was using her elbow all the time. Are they supposed to be using their elbow? Anyway, we went around to their night market after that but it was just alllll fooooddd, so was pretty disappointed at that.

Second day was the BOMB. Mac our tour guide is so far the friendliest guide that I have ever encounter. (He’s studying master while working part time as a tour guide). Talks a lot and gave us lots of tips on getting around. First, we went for white water rafting in Phang Nga. The river wasn’t that fast so I thought it was an easy ride. WRONG! I got thrown off my place at least 5 times like a rag doll and left bruises on my feet. I almost drop out, if it wasn’t for the guy next to me pulling me back in. It was exciting but I think once is enough for me. After that we move on to ATV ride. This is also a first for me and thank god we took the one hour ride instead of the two hour. The ride was quite challenging for a beginner and a friend ATV broke down twice and needed to be changed to new ones because we constantly rammed into rocks and such. Mac said the last time he went there; he needed to change 3 ATVs. Although we had cuts and bruises from this, it’s totally recommended!!

The next day was the 4 islands tour and snorkeling. This is where we met Jack Sparrow (our tour guide for the day). In Poda island, we were lucky as a school of fishes just swam around us near the beach without us needing to snorkel at all. I think it was because of TF striking blue shorts that attract all those fishes and luckily Sammi and Alex had their waterproof camera. We then stop at Chicken Island that err…looks like a chicken and another island which name I had forgotten because I almost drown there and then there’s Railay beach. The nicest of them all. Beautiful view from the cave. So there, that pretty much sums up my vacation in Krabi. Though I didn’t get to shop and buy stuff(which is a must in every vacation), it’s still a very very exciting and fun trip. Here’s some pictures:-

Took a pic with Jack Sparrow! A view of Railay beach from the Phranang Cave.

We had to pay 100baht for this in Ao Nang beach!

Joke

Normally, we get a lot of Singh jokes from emails. I just don't understand why. Anyway, here's one old joke but nevertheless funny IMO.

"There was one guy name Santa Singh and he went for an interview at a law firm Lee & Lee. So a Mr Lee interviewed him and thought that Santa was well qualified for the job and went and tell his boss about it. Mr.Lee's boss told him that all this while the firm had a policy of only hiring staff with the surname Lee, so therefore he shouldn't break the rules. So Mr Lee went back to tell Santa Singh the bad news.

Mr Lee: I'm sorry, but we are not able to hire you. We have a policy of hiring staff with the surname Lee only.

Santa Singh: Oh in that case, I can always change my name. In fact, I actually have one now.

Mr Lee: * huh?* And what is that name??

Santa Singh: "Banga Lee"

note: No offense intended to the sikh community. I totally respect them. If u find this offensive, please let me know & i'll delete this post.

All the best for Lee Chong Wei!!

I think me mum totally approve Korean man for her daughter... cos when South Korean Park Tae Hwan won the Gold Medal for 400m freestyle at the Beijing Olympics, she woke me up from my sleep to inform me of the news!!! Thought there was some earthquake or something. I was like ... anyway, I think she was way more excited than me. Well, thank god he's way much better in swimming than singing(go watch his CF here). Congratulations to him for being the first Korean AND Asian swimmer to win a medal in those event! I didn't know that ..thanks to wikipedia.

Tanam Sayur, Makan Jagong Meh?

I got so tired watching the tv news these days because I just go mad mad mad. I’m not sure whether the media are rejoicing for having so much boiling political news to write and report or being just as mad for having to report all those crappy stuff. I want to hear news about how the gammen are looking for ways to increase the efficiency of public transport (total crap here in Malaysia) and how the gammen solves the issue of haze, price increase in everything, illegal immigrant, poverty, and lots more. I want to hear intelligent stuff out from our ministers mouth, not some “tanam sayur dan ubah cara hidup”. Why are we going backward instead of going forward? Whatever lies and deception going around right now will slowly unravel. The truth shall be known. We are not ignorant and definitely not fool. What? Did you just sayifool?

Here’s another crappy riddle to brighten up all my chingus gloomy day:-

Why do Doraemon and Nobita refuse to come to Malaysia??
